This term in Year 4, they are learning all about the continent we live on in their exciting topic 'Exploring Europe!'. During their Immersive Day, Year 4 tried new foods, explored European artists, had a go at some flamenco dancing and explored places they had visited. In this topic, the children will move from UK to Greece to Italy to Spain to France, learning about the different cultures and ways of life in these countries.
In Year 2, the children have been learning all about Africa in their topic 'Hakuna Matata. Their Immersive Learning Day was very exciting and involved, trying new foods, dancing, creating artwork and much more. During this term, they will look at many different countries in Africa and compare a small area of one country to a small area of the UK. In the second to last week of this term, they will be going on a very exciting school trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park!
This term in Year 1, their Geography topic has been Seaside. They have been learning all about the coasts in the UK and the world and will be using aerial maps to locate human and physical features on them. During their Immersive Learning day, they completed many exciting activities including treasure map and pirate puppet making and using eye patches to pretend to be a pirate.
This term in Reception, children have been looking at the world and exploring different countries within it. They have done this by using different maps and learning about where different people live. They have also been looking at the similarities and differences of people's lives All Around the World. How exciting!
