What have you learnt in yout Geography lessons?

We have learnt about Africa and all it's countries.
We have learnt about rivers, oceans and Niagra Falls.
I can remember learning about the rainforest and some animals that lived there.
In Geography, I have learnt about Spain and some of the foods they eat. 
We learnt about Captain Cook and his travels.

 

What does Geography mean to you?

It means looking at the world.
I think it means looking at the area around us.
Learning about countries and people.
Learning the continent and ocean song.
It means looking at maps and reading maps.
Looking in atlases at different countries.
Maybe it means looking at human and physical features.

What do you like about Geography?

I like learning about different countries.
It is fun to do orienteering in PE and use maps.
It is good we we learn outside the classroom and map out our school.
We loved the Y6 residential to Bewerly Park!. 
I loved learning the continent song and ocean song in KS1!
I like it when we go outside and do our fieldwork!
My favourtie part is when we do practical lessons, especially outside.

How can you use your skills you have learnt?

To use a map if I am lost or want to travel. 
To follow google maps if I need to.
I can understand more about other people's culture.
To tell my family all about things we may see on on walks like rivers.
To act more sustainable and help climate change.
I can look for human and physical features when I am outside.
